Suppressing the M1 Carbine (and related) carbines?

It never really crossed my mind until recently. The closest I ever put a can on was an Mini-14 and it was a dumpster-fire in practice. As in sold off the blasted thing (despite owning the carbine for years), forgot about it, and continued other exploration.

Anyone done this and how did it turn out? Good, bad, or sucked donkey rump? What can?
