For sale from my personal collection is an exceptionally nice early, "spring-tube" Winchester M1 Carbine, serial # 11068xx. Winchester barrel and receiver appear original as does the finish. It has a Winchester trigger housing, recoil plate, and a beautiful late Winchester stock with excellent crossed cannon cartouche. All other parts are a typical arsenal re-build mix. Note, the stock does have a repaired crack behind the recoil plate area. Other than appearance, it is not a factor. Repair was well done, and the stock is a solid as a new one.
Bore and muzzle on this one are both excellent....bright and shiney bore with, and nearly new ( 1/4" bullet test) muzzle. Head space checks out fine with the "No Go" gauge.
This is a fine example of an early and desirable "spring tube" Winchester, and someone will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. It looks great, and you can enjoy shooting it without worry.
