Stuck co2

A co-worker has a Crosman co2 pistol and the co2 cartridge is stuck in the pistol
What would be a good way to remove it? It is empty but just jammed in there good.

Drill a hole in the end,

thread in a coarse thread screw,

latch on to the screw head with a pair of locking pliers,

yank out the cartridge.

Or, something similar.

I thought about doing that but wasn't sure if it would be the right thing but wasn't really able to think of anything else. I will pass on the info or most likely do it for him since he really new to guns.
