You probably already have these set aside for next Halloween, but just in case.
My other plan for the trick-or-treaters is to set out a large empty bowl on the front porch, with a sign that says, "Please just take one. Leave some for the other kids."
I've also heard of people passing out .22 cartridges to the Trick-or-Treaters, but probably in the South or in Texas, and probably decades ago.
