I have had my C2 for about 5 years now. It's perfect! At the time I bought it I paid about $1,500 for brand new. Never had a single failure with the gun, but the springs in the mags would get weak and cause failure to last round bolt hold open. Staccato's customer service when I dealt with them was above extraordinary. Their mags are $70 a piece and they don't sell just the springs. So when I had trouble with my mags they would just send me new magazines and told me just to keep the old ones. At one point I ended up with quite a few. Nobody really at the time made springs for the mags so I would just take them apart and stretch the Springs a little bit and they'd run great. I was shooting my Kimber kds-9c the other day and I took out my C2 as well. The C2 is still a great gun but the Kimber is just a hair better. I still like my staccato.

Premium pistola.
Treat yourself if it fits the budget.
I think I paid around $2000 all told.

Heavy metal thunder.
Edge, the model before Stacatto.

I'm not putting much faith in any exposed hammer fired pistol being drop safe when cocked.

The 2011/1911 double stack game is next level. Forget everything you thought you knew about what an 'expensive' gun is. Staccatos are actually on the lower end cost wise of 2011s. If you have a limited collection of guns, IMO there are as lot of better options to get first. If you have the bases covered, and are looking to get into the 2011/1911 double stack game, IMO they are actually worth it. Higher quality then some of the less expensive guns, gets you into a 2011, but doesn't absolutely destroy the credit card as compared to the high end options out there. You can easily get into $6-7-8K range with custom 2011s.

I currently have 3 in the collection- XC, P threaded, and CS Threaded. The two threaded guns are AWESOME suppressor hosts. The XC, while expensive, shoots so very flat and smooth. Can you get close to it for 1/2 the price? Yes, guns like the CZ Shadow 2, LTT Beretta. Can you get better? Yes, guns like Wilson, Nighthawk, Altas, but once you get to that level IMO the huge cost increases add up to incremental performance improvements.

LMK if you have any specific questions about them and pros/cons!
Oooh this is the kind of experience I need to hear! I have been on the fence about going XC or Comped P! I have also been looking into a ported Platypus, Kimber 2k11 comp pro, Nighthawk TRS/Firehawk, Bul Armory Tac Comp. Thats pretty much the list for now. How would you compare your P and your XC? I already have a P211 which I love and I wanted something else just a step above to have that noticeable difference. Although maybe the Platypus wouldn't be, but reviews or it ported are.

The Platypus's are cool, and I love the customizability of them, but once you get them kitted out, the price gets real close to a Staccato. Having glock mags is nice, but now Staccato has their new Glock mags models. I however like the 2011 format myself. Between the P and XC, that would be a hard call. XC is the Cadillac, but costs almost twice the P. I have gotten huge into suppressors, so for me, being able to have the threaded P is more worth it for me right now. I do have the factory comp for the threaded P, but since I got suppressors, I have never put it back on- only shoot with cans now and it is TOO fun! Would love to have a Nighthawk, but that is another level up price wise, and for me it didnt seem worth it for now . . . . Lots of good options out there though!!

My 2024 C Compact grip was worth it for me. It was my first 2011 and does exactly what I wanted it to do, with features to address potential 2011 pain points, and a bullet proof warranty if any issues do arise. I think most of their guns also hit a sweet spot between low-maintenance (for a 2011) and quality fit/feel. If you prioritize the most value for money in a purely functional sense, I don't think that's what you're paying for with Staccato.

Standard Staccato P will run you around $2500 and then you have to pay for an optics plate and mags and whatever else. Totals to $3k+. Kimber and Bul Armory have 2011s with mags and plates for around $2500. Definitely better options FOR THE MONEY out there.

Staccato is great! Worth the money is subjective. To me, absolutely yes and without a doubt! That said, I'd recommend others before I recommended a Staccato. Like an LFA Apollo 11 or a Stealth Arms Platypus. Both are equally impressive 2011s you can get for under 1500. My buddy has them and I really wish I had gotten both before I got a few I did. Also that new Kimber 2K11, or whatever they call it, is getting great raving reviews. You can even go with the Girsan Witness Match X, I've read and seen great things, but I suggest the other 2 above it.

I've currently got the Bersa M2XI, which is highly underrated and overlooked! I've got a Springfield Prodigy 4.25 Comp, which is meh and significantly overpriced compared to the Apollo 11 and Platypus. I've also got a Sig P211-GTO & GP Arms Forza. Both of which put you up to entry level staccato money.

Frankly, if I were to spend Staccato money, I'd rather have a Bul Armory or GP Arms. They're equal quality for a bit less and don't come with the D-bag stigma.
