Was looking at the Long Shot Hawk, $250 seems a bit stiff. Have an LR3 long range kit , it works but it had some internal battery issues last outing. Poly breaker was POPPED on the bat pack, I got it to un-trip but doesn't leave much faith Long Shot. Somebody going to tell me its a good idea? For the 100yd shoot range bench a spotting scope seems easier. Nothing like putting your $600 cam down range and some ol boy nails it from 3 lanes over.

I have a very nice spotting scope already.

You could get one of these cameras that fits in your pocket and a $10 tripod. I think it's 40x and motion stabilized. Fits in shirt pocket. Used to be about $300 new but used they are probably like $50 now? No idea. I have one laying around somewhere haven't used in for several years. Many of the photos below show zoomed and unzoomed comparison shots. The boat photo was taken on the rain. All photos are handheld no tripod except for planet photos. The planet with moons is Jupiter.
