Felipe Calderon appealed to the U.S. Congress for restrictions on "assault weapons." Hillary nodded in agreement. Congress politely smiled, and nothing happened. DOA.
I understand (and agree with) the argument that people in this administration would restrict gun ownership if they could. But no anti-gun legislation actually goes anywhere. This is an illustration of how such moves are off the political radar these days. Concealed carry rights are expanding nationally. It's actually a good time for gun rights, comparatively speaking. We may end up looking back on this time as a good era for gun rights.
