    Up for sale is a full, unopened case of military MRE's. Nothing fancy, has a shelf life of forever and a day. 12 meals to a case. $75.00. Please call, because my email is being funny and won't let me respond. Can email pics.

    Well, it doesn't say anywhere on the box. I've got a few cases sitting at home, all from the same lot. I'll crack one open and see if any of the individual MRE's have an expiration date.

    there should be a 4 digit number on each packet.

    like 5230

    The 5 means 2005

    The 230 means it was manufactured on the 230th day of 2005.

    Shelf life can be determined from many charts online - depends on storage temp.

    i think when he oppened the case they looked soo good he sucked one down and now we will never know the date code :(

    all kidding aside i am interested about the date.

    Ok sorry guys, kinda forgot about this post. So I opened the case and could find no numbers on the individual packet. But on the box is the number 1094. So...the 94th day of 2010? That would make it a fairly fresh case. Oh and in response to Mr.45: I've sucked down enough of these to know that I have to be REALLY hungry to want to suck one down ;)
