how quick does the 5.45 heat up? I hear thats a pretty hot round after a couple of mags....

I have not herd that. but I can see any gun getting hot after a few 30 round mags.

To put in my 0.02 in answering the question, from what I could tell from the 5.45 that I've owned, it really doesn't seem to heat up any faster than a 7.62x39 rifle.
