Not sure of year but it's almost definitely a 3rd gen, and a very late 3rd Gen at that. Serial # 466xxx.

I have a Universal Carbine Model 30-M1 OS with the factory Monte Carlo stock. It was my Grandfathers and is in excellent condition, Plus it is a fun and accurate shooter. I recently found a Universal catalog from '69-'70 and this rifle is listed for a whopping $129 (how times have changed!) Mine is built with the GI slide and reciever so it is an earlier model. They are great little rifles and your price seems very fair.
