It is Mil Spec, I mounted it on a 556 rifle, but I believe it will fit on a 308 if you have an adjustable stock. From the link: Designed to military standards, the PRS Lite is intended for Mil-Spec USGI carbine/SR25 collapsible/A5 extension tubes* for .223 and .308 receiver-pattern rifles.
