Well, had my first try at deer hunting this year. 3 trips out to Yacolt burn and no luck. Saw a bunch of doe's each morning before light. Got out before sunrise each morning. Spent time at edges of clear cuts or hiking through replanted areas. No bucks to be found. Anyone have any luck out there? What's proper technique? What should i try next time? Saw a lot of guys just drive around all day. Should I have been doing that?
