My quest for the perfect MCX / MPX brace continues. This one was close, but I also felt like it was a waste of a perfectly good stock and I have no plans to SBR mine (I've got one already).
What is it?
It's the standard Sig MCX/MPX Folding and Telescoping stock in black. But, it also includes a Custom Smith Manufacturing Tailhook adapter (Tailhook not included) that mounts to the folding strut instead of the stock.
Perfect for someone planning on doing an SBR - you can quickly disassemble the stock and mount the strut to your firearm with the CSM adapter and a tailhook, and then when your tax stamp comes in, you can take that off and put the collapsing stock on instead (and probably sell the tailhook for what you paid for it).
I've never actually seen this particular adapter on CSM's website...I don't know if it was a custom build, a limited run, or what. I bought it with the stock (exactly how I am selling it here) from another forum, and it works great. It's just that, like I said above, it felt like a waste of a perfectly good stock for me to keep it this way...and there's no real market for the stock part of this setup without the strut.
