I find my self shelving most of my folders and strictly carry fixed blades now. Normally I carry 2 on my person. One IWB and one in my pocket. Nothing wrong with folders but I really enjoy working with /using a fixed blade.

I think about doing that once in a while but a 4" folder is sure more convenient than a 9" long fixed blade.

Tried out the Kabar on a recent overnight hike. Whelp, going back to the ESEE Junglas. I was surprised how easily it broke. Probably a material flaw/heat treating error.

I would sure hope that Kabar would replace that knife as it certainly looks to be a manufacturing/material defect to me.

Maybe that is why they went to Ontario knives. That should never have left the factory - poor QC.
