My wife works with the deceased wife. They had been married only a couple of months. Don't know any more than that, but am curious to know what happened. .

I don't know where Six Tie Rd is,
Here Maybe, at 5 Way Road?

Please pass along whatever you find out, and if you get the opportunity please pass along our condolences.

It was on the news this morning, and I'm sure it will be again after Lars at 4 pm (FM 101.1 KXL).

I think Clackamas Co Sheriff's Dept posted about it on their Facebook page this morning.

So far, I haven't heard how or what happened.

Sad news. Young married guy. One never knows who they can run into.
I really hope they can catch whoever did this.
Driven in a private vehicle to get help. Doesn't that imply shooting buddy or at least someone at the same pit drive him for help? I have seen zero implication of any sort of foul play so far.

Heard some details, but not first hand account so I don't want to spread bad info. Sounds like possibly an inexperienced shooter handling a gun that he was unaware was loaded and somebody was hit by a discharge.

It kind of read to me like it was more likely a terrible case of ignoring one, or more, of the 4-basic rules. :( Dang man. I'm afraid the media would prefer it be a lesson of how terrible firearms are. Rather than stress safety with fire arms.

Third thread on this. @Moderators merge please?

I lost count of how many times ive used outdoor public ranges/pits where someone sweeps me with their muzzle I stopped going to those places.

This does sound like one of those cases where "its ok its not loaded". 😞

I'm sorry about that!
"Outdoor shooting areas" wouldn't have been the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place I would have looked for info on a deadly, local shooting incident!
