Get a bigger primer.
Now there's an idea. Hmmm... I have noticed that .50 BMG primers are the only ones available anywhere, still on the shelves at Cabela's, etc.. Prices are always high on those, but still less than panic prices on Gunbroker.

Maybe I should hone out some 9mm cases to take the big BMG primers. I wonder if I'd need to decrease the powder charge much (or if it would need powder at all).

I'm joking of course, lest anyone take me seriously.

Well, you ARE the master of experimentation!

just to show you single stage guys don't have ALL the fun:

I hope all that was a collection for a few, or more years, time? I've been doing it about ten years and my only mistakes have been a few barely folded .38sp cases. One squib and one double charge .38sp in the same box, a couple of slightly mangled primers and one missed primer in the loading tray. And those were all eight or more years ago.

Accumulation of several years. Also some remnants from teaching beginners who missed a couple essential points. Some are my own dumb mistakes.

No photos, but my first time out with the Dillon 750 I had two primers that failed to seat because the primer slide got hung up and didn't advance. Dumped the powder charge all over the place, twice.

At least I now know what the handle feels like when there's no primer in the pocket!

i "upgraded" to the rcbs auto prime for my single stage about 5 years ago when i started 223 and 9mm. it comes with 100 ct tubes. i'm glad no one was near the reloading room when i discovered that i had just primed a hundred 9's with upside down primers.
