Seeking competent gunsmith in Olympia area

Hi all. My name is Mark, and I have not spent much time here. My primary interest is vintage .22lr stuff, so Rimfire Central has been my home for many years.

ANYHOW, I am trying to help a friend out with a repair to one of his father's guns. Dad has entered memory care, and Bobby is helping his mom sort through a lifetime of stuff in preparation for downsizing her household.

Here is what he has described as a flintlock muzzleloading "trade rifle". The buttstock trapdoor storage cubby has lost its latch hook. A new one will need to be fabricated and soldered to the door. Any recommendations for someone local that can tackle this are welcome.

Bobby lives in Denver, but Mom is in Oly.

Will all have the latch for your patch box

It might be easier to replace the patch box lid....than make and resolder a catch.....

it is fairly easy to swap out the patchbox lid...
Just be sure the replacement one is the same size as the old one.
