Are Butler Creek flip-up's and bikini style the only scope covers on the market? What ever happened to the "storm queen" style scope covers......you know, the two rubber discs with a black rubber band holding them together. Not a lot of choices out there.
There's other brands, but they're the same style as those two. I used the bikini style for one day during elk season and threw them away after that. After that I tried the Butler Creek flip-ups, and really didn't like them either. They were difficult to use with a lefty bolt gun. After those I spent the eighty bucks for the Leupold covers, and they are great.
I'm not sure what happened with the "storm queen" caps, but that's the style my Dad uses on his rifle and they work well. It seems like they'd be cheap and easy to make if you couldn't find them for sale anywhere.
