Washington SB 6620- "Assault Weapons" re-branded (same definition as SB 5444)

The gun haters in the legislature are at it again and have re-branded the term "assault weapons": they're now called "Semiautomatic rifle or shotgun with tactical features". They're trying to sneak in through by adding it to their newest bill (introduced yesterday) - SB 6620-Improving security in schools and the safety of students (http://lawfilesext.leg.wa.gov/biennium/2017-18/Pdf/Workroom Reports/Senate Introduction Report/INTRODUCTIONS 2018-02-23 SUP 1.pdf)

Pretty much the only differences I've see between SB 6620 and SB 5444 is that they are raising the FFL license fee $25 and allowing LEO's to do BGC and charge for it.

We need to fight this with the same tenacity as we did before.

Not to be outdone is Washington state, which last week passed its own bump stock ban and is now moving on to bigger and better gun control measures. These include Senate Bill 6620, which would prohibit anyone under 21 from owning not just pistols—something state law already does—but literally any semi-automatic rifle. The bill also establishes a grant program to fund school resource officers—law enforcement employees who, you may remember, proved less than helpful during the Parkland shooting.

It looks like we squeaked by this year, with only a couple infringements:

Bump stock ban
Expanding the amount of guns they can take in the name of "domestic violence", because they included a very broad/vague definition of "harassment".


This was way too close, we need to get off our asses and see if we can swing the legislature away from democrat control.
