Just got this gun for my daughter from her grandfather. I took it apart to clean it and noticed that the safety spring won't stay on this safety switch anyone know how to fix this?
I believe your Savage pump is a model 29A.
Numrich still has some parts available for it.
The safety plunger might be the culprit, but more then likely it's the safety spring, which is out of stock along with the extractor springs.
The extractor springs (left & right) look identical to the safety spring.
There is a schematic, but it not much help.
You might ask your question on the Savage forum on Rimfire Central RimfireCentral.com - Rimfire Community! there's some real knowledgeable Savage collectors there.
