Savage Arms was named for its founder Arthur Savage....nothing wrong with that name.
Its just the founder's last name...no need to make a big deal out of it.

With that said...
I would bet that the logo of a "Indian Chief" in full headdress....will be removed , if it hasn't been already.

Savage Arms makes many a good working firearm....will they go under 'cause of the name of the company...
No I don't think so...
If the company gets bought out by say Freedom Group...and Savage Arms is then run like Remington into the ground...then that is a different story.

Will a Savage firearm make a good investment....Depends...
A early model 99 in say .250 Savage that is in cherry shape....sure...
A run of the mill model 110 in .30-06 ....not so much.
( Not that there is anything "wrong" with a Savage 110 rifle...just lots of them out there to choose from )
