I have a friend who is in the market for a gun safe. Budget is $2000, needs to be 24", minimum 8 rifles and a couple handguns. Interested in recos for quality, currently leaning towards Superior Encore 17. Any thoughts?

I have owned a Liberty for 20 Years I believe it is the Franklin 25, which they show at 1839 on their website. It has been excellent, looks nice, although the marital unit wants it out of sight. I told her she could move it.

The shipping is included in their prices. You might get it cheaper from a dealer locally.

I have owned a Champion for about 12 years now. It's 50 cu ft and will hold a butt load of gear.

I paid $1800 for it then. It has a good fire rating and weighs just around 1600 lbs empty, I believe.

I'm very happy with the safe. It's as good as any out there.

Buy the biggest safe that you can afford. You'll use the room.

Jerry
