SOLD
Eugene/Springfield area.
This is a nice 686-4 six-inch, six-shot. Pre-lock, with non-MIM case-hardened hammer/trigger, plus hammer mounted firing pin It comes with the original case, paperwork. It is factory drilled/tapped for an optic mount. I am only selling/trading because I have another 686-4 7-shot...I don't "need" two.
This gun has been shot by the prior owner. He may have done a polishing job on the revolver since I believe they typically only came with the factory brushed stainless finish. Either way, it looks very well done. It has been thoroughly cleaned and lubed. Under the side-plate, too. The timing is correct and the lockup is good. If you look closely at the pics, you will see a tiny bit of metal that has flowed just south of the firing pin hole. I suspect a primer pocket was loose, a bad primer, or whatever. It doesn't impact anything. The cylinder rotates properly, unimpeded, with and without rounds inserted.
The only trades I am interested in are pre-lock S&W's. I have quite a few, but let me know what you have, if you are so inclined. We could haggle over cash, plus or minus.
I would sell it outright for $560. I will also pay $10 toward the transfer fee. I typically use Gunrunner Arms in Junction City. They charge $30 and it includes the $10 background fee. Message me or call/text 541-912-7489. Thank you.
