s&w 340pd loads

Ten rounds of magnum and I'm headed for the ice pack for my hand.

Can it be as bad as my 329 with full house loads?
That thing pings clear up to my elbow! But I can still get through a box of 50 rounds.

Of course that may just be me. With my huge forearms, and weak mind.

I really like the 340pd with mild stuff but with hot .357 the one I shot barked like nothing I had ever shot before. Five rounds were OK but that was it for me.

My 329 was an early gun.
I shot that thing so much In the first few months that it tore itself apart.

I think it was a hammer pin that sheared off. But you couldn't cock it anymore. I sent it back to S&W [they paid shipping both ways]. When it returned. It had nice shiny new titanium pins.

no rubber over molded rubber grips, I see.
My buddy called Smith to get some, but they were out.

If yours is a round butt you can put either Pachmayr or Hogue Grips on. Of course, Other brands as well.

My 329 came with two sets of stocks.
I just don't like the rubber ones.

Did I mention I split the first pair of wood grips that came with the gun?
