Snap caps and dry fire before the buffing wheel comes in to play. I've seen a couple " custom " trigger jobs on rimfire revolvers that made for unreliable ignition.

Yellow #4-6 dry wall anchors work extremely well as snap caps in 22s.

That's a great tip Reno! I usually just pick up some fired brass, but your way looks way less "loaded"

Plastic dry wall anchors are quire practical in 22 revolvers. Not so much in most semi-auto 22s unless you enjoy "single-shot" training (hey eject quite neatly when the slide is racked, but don't feed from a magazine worth spit. YMMV).

Cut/file a notch in the area of the extractor. That way it stays in the chamber unless removed by user. Rack the slide as much as you want and dry fire.

Revolver. No slide.

Don't bubblegum around with the trigger, it's heavy because it has to be.

Shoot & dry fire it and let it smooth out on it's own.
