YesIs the butt marked US model of 1917?
Thanks for the info!Appears to be a second model hand ejector revolver as the british named it supplied on lend lease or purchased for the Canadian army. The commonwealth also purchased some in the interwar years to supply the Canadian army if memory serves. The US was also selling them as surplus to foreign armys between the wars as they were thought to be out dated and replaced by the 1911. I can't recall or find how the frames were marked. But I believe they were possibly just left marked as standard a us 1917 on the butt.
Very interesting revolver and dang you for putting it up this close to Christmas!
