1950 Russian SKS some small handling marks and little stuff from being stored in a safe but I don't think it's ever been fired and is in overall real nice shape. Has cleaning kit in the stock. Like to trade for non bolt action rifles (unless mag fed .223/5.56) or pistols not in 40. Ak, Ar or Ak pistol, nice non shield (kimber micro, sig 938, compact cz ect) carry gun or? Can add cash or possably other guns for something worth more.

Cash price added $600

A price and more specific trade preferences would be awesome! Beautiful rifle.

Not really sure on a price as Russian examples have such a wide price range and no longer imported. As far as trades ar pistol in 5.56/9mm, ar10's or other 308 semi autos, AK, 1911's, smith colt ruger 357/44 revolvers, 357/44 lever action if ya want to trade it just ask worst I can say is no.

More info would be great on your rifle.
Do the serial numbers on all parts match? Pictures would be great.
Is firing pin spring loaded?
Close up picture of stock serial number and markings?
Picture of Top cover markings to detirmine if it is refurbished.
Importer?
Kind of hard to put a value on it if I don't know what you have.

No idea about the spring loaded for pin. Is There a way to tell without stripping the gun? Any other pics needed just tell me what to take.

That's a nice SKS I would love to own. Wish I had something you wanted, and if I just didn't buy one it would be mine. Good luck with sale.

Looks like you have a almost matching 1950 sks, although you have to remove the bolt to see if it matches too. It has a refurbished stock that has been forced matched when it was refurbished. The xxxxxxx out is where the original serial number was on the stock. The square on the underside of the stock is a refurb mark also. The gun itself does not have a refurb stamp on it that I can see.
The rifle is very nice and is a second year gun. Very cool! If you press on the firing pin and it pushes back you have a spring loaded firing pin. They made these for a short time in 1950 and then switched to the loose fit firing pin. The coloring of the blowing on the magazine well is actual bluing and is different from the rest of the gun. Different refurbishment styles offered either a cheap bbq paint finish that is easily removed with mineral spirits to expose original bluing or is a more durible glossy, smooth black paint that holds up a lot better. This gun, if I was to guess would go anywhere from $450-$600This is at least where Recent closed auctions on gunbroker have it. Hope this helps you out. Once again, nice rifle.
