I'm incredibly impressed with what Ruger puts out for the price. Just imagine what it would cost in machine time to do the same. Ruger is the base line. Everything else costs more because there's more time and cost in it. The stuff that is cheaper, well, you get what you pay for. I've always considered Ruger to be the best 90% guns on the market. You get wonderful bones, but need to put in your own 10% in labor to finish it to perfection.

Finally got it running. I will NEVER buy ruger factory again. The bolt was so out of spec it would not cycle. Very crude machine marks etc etc. Just bought the brownells bolt and it is wat better machining and tolerances. Now it will cycle anything. So if you have ejection issues take a real good look at the bolt.
one of the most absurd things i've ever heard. everyone i know has 2 rugers. i have had dozens. i still own 2 . we're talking hundreds of guns all shoot flawlessly. you got a problem i bet it's not a factory ruger

It was I bought new from bi-mart for $110 if that says anything. Went back to ruger twice. I replaced barrel no change, Then the receiver finally the bolt. Spent more time in corner (like 20 years) then anything. Shoots great now.
so you have a 20 year old gun you never contacted ruger about? sounds like a lot of you problems.
