From my experience of buying a gun from a private seller at a gun show, you can just do the blue private seller background check paperwork and call it in yourself. $10 as always.

I went today with a friend. Didn't seen anything that I was looking for, or was an exceptional deal that I couldn't pass up. I did pick up a brick of Gemtech .22LR subsonic for $43 which didn't seem too bad. Probably the thing that tempted me most was a very clean used CZ 527 Carbine in .223. If I didn't already have one it would have come home with me. Asking price was almost $100 less than I recall paying for mine new, which seemed fair given the condition.
