Retired Vet needs help choosing Handgun

Springfield Armory XD 9mm V10 (compensated) and don't listen to all the BS that people talk about when it comes to the compensated pistols.... your not gonna burn yourself and your not gonna mess up your vision at night anymore than using a normal pistol.... please!. Use some HST rounds and they will open up pretty good lol defend with style pops lol.

The xd with the compensated barrel is a nice idea, not as readily available but can definitely be ordered. Anyone have experience with the beretta px4 compact? He's leaning towards that currently and it seems really nice actually i had the sub compact version and its nice but the compact comes with there rotating barrel which is supposed to help with recoil. Any suggestions as far as HK? I just read HK are supposed to handle recoil very well.
