I figured 50% recoup at best....Italian shotgun > Turkish shotgun
Resale on the Retay when you inevitably decide to buy a Benelli will be poor

Damn, you guys got short legsDoes anyone shoot a Retay Ace in 20 ga? This weekend will be the end of the 2025 duck season and I've been watching some deals on guns. I currently shoot a sbe2 in 12, but after hunting with some 20ga guys I started looking into the 20s. Shot, chokes and barrels have come along way since I was a kid and it seems like the 20ga kills birds just the same. Oblivious less shot but the fast swing and quick follow up shots and recoil reduction makes up for it. I made a impulse buy last night after reading reviews and watching videos on the Retay Ace......hopefully I dont regret it and end up selling it just to purchase a sbe3 in 20ga. Some real life feedback would be much appreciated!
Oh ya and best of luck out there on the last weekend!

I just got a notice for a retailer that I ordered from in Nebraska to expect an extra week because of the weather info they got from FedEx regarding delivery times.Fedex will send a truck back if a leaf falls in front of it.
With the freezing conditions back east, they have probably shut down everything.
You know what they say about guys with short legs?Damn, you guys got short legs![]()

Again, not a duck hunter, but steel shot was (is) mandated at Adair Tract (did a lot of Cottontail hunting there with Beagles), and steel shot was noticeably less effective, even on delicate little bunnies. I got to look at it as downright cruel, as wounded rabbits were the norm (fortunately the dogs cleaned things up, but without them those rabbits would have died slowly in the brush).FedEx says my gun will be here tomorrow.....now I'm looking at 20ga shells. I ordered some heavy shot xii. Gonna test it out on a upcoming pheasant hunt, the other option is the boss copy. Im done shooting regular old steel, it just sucks and wounds birds
Tasty little rabbits! Im also doing some reading on these mixed blends of tungsten and steel in the same shell, with the tungsten in the front of the shell. Alot has changed since I gave up waterfowl hunting in the early 2000sAgain, not a duck hunter, but steel shot was (is) mandated at Adair Tract (did a lot of Cottontail hunting there with Beagles), and steel shot was noticeably less effective, even on delicate little bunnies. I was surprised how little recoil is felt, fast follow up shotsGot a little bit of the "Franchi" hump on the receiver!
That's the recoil pad that ate Philadelphia. Attractive to wimps like me.![]()
Well, it is only a 20 gauge...I was surprised how little recoil is felt, fast follow up shots
That one stung a bit......Well, it is only a 20 gauge...
Since you got it, have you felt an overwhelming urge to squat when you pee?

I'll have to measure but I may have lost a inch
