I have shot some of the so called replicas of these...
They are fun to shoot for sure.

I understand the idea behind the design...and a 6 shot rifle when most were single shot , has some merit.
But....
It still only uses a revolver sized powder charge...and while 20 - 28 grains of powder and a .451 -.454 round ball or bullet ain't anything to take lightly...its still not in the same league as most "big game" rifles or military rifles / rifled muskets of the day.

I've always wanted a revolving carbine, it's on my long list of "must haves". Now if it's something I could rechamber into my favorite round ever, the .38 S&W, I'd be in heaven.
