Remington ScoreMaster Model 511 22LR rifle for sale. Manufactured in June 1953. Rifle shoots 22 short, long, and long rifle ammo. This is a magazine-fed, single-shot, bolt action rifle. The triggers and bolts were heat treated back in those days. Rifle is in very good condition and shoots very well. Comes with one Remington magazine. $200.00

Can't tell..but is the receiver grooved for scope rings?

I was curious too. There's 1 pic that I think would show them, but none of the top of the reciever. I'm thinking the grooved reciever came along in the early 60s. I've got one that was given to my Dad for his 10th birthday, so easy for me to date at about 1942. Not sure how else to date these sweet shooters.

Well, a little research has indicated the grooved reciever was added to some models in 54-55.
