Hi there,

I've been looking around for a good competition shooting belt and I was wondering if anyone here can recommend any specific brand(s) based on good experiences. As it happens with many shooting-related stuff, there are way too many options out there! Thanks.

CR Speed and Double Alpha are probably the most common at local competitions.

I used a normal heavy leather belt when I started competing. I have a couple CR Speeds now.

IDPA Rules on belts, 8.4 include Must Pass thru Belt Loops (all but 2) and a max thickness - which while I can't measure the picture - it appears to be thicker than 5/16"

Can you have really large belt loops? I am not sure that has been addressed.

8.4 Belts
Belts may be no wider than 1 ¾ inches (44.5 mm) or thicker than 5/16 inches (7.9 mm) and must pass through a minimum of all but two of the pant loops
