I ordered 5k Winchester small rifle primers and 6k fiocchi small pistol primers of December 23rd. They arrived today!

With that said I also ordered 6.5 Creedmoor brass on December 2nd. It's been restocked and sold out twice since then and I still don't have my order.

I ordered some of the Winchester small rifle primers which I will try to use in pistol cartridges, if I ever receive them. I did receive a bunch of bullets from them today.

They replied to an email this morning saying they would go ahead and substitute Winchester Small rifle primers in place of the small rifle and small pistol blem primers I ordered more than a month ago. I will believe it when I see them.

I think I will cancel my order for the large rifle and large rifle magnum blem primers. They keep jacking me around with projected dates for shipment. The refund will be a mess since they gave me some e-gift cards for that order and I had also ordered bullets on the same order. I received the bullets already. If I am lucky they might just refund the entire amount of the order.

I would keep nagging them about the 6.5 CM brass and ask for a more expensive substitute item if you don't want to wait forever.

I placed a couple of orders for e-gift card and they charged me shipping. I emailed them on the 5th asking for shipping to be refunded. They responded this morning saying they will refund me the shipping charges. Now I have to wait forever for refund to actually hit my account.

Still no tracking for my older primer orders. I did get tracking for the most recent order of primers and I might get those in the near future.

I emailed AR and asked them to cancel the order for LR and LRM blem primers. I am tired of waiting and the deal I got on the CCI BR2s was a better option anyways.

It looks like they are going to send me some Winchester SR primers as substitutes for the SP and SR blem primers they ran out of. I got a tracking number today but it's still in label created status.

It will be nice to finally have these old orders closed.

There is one more old order that I will deal with once these other two are finalized.

I am still on the fence about buying some of the Mexican 22LR ammo they have for sale. I will make a decision once I get my refund from the canceled blem primer order.

Buy them.
Be the Guinea pig for the rest of us.
Tell us how they work.
If they give me a full refund on the canceled primer order, I will buy a case.

They already gave me a partial refund through e-gift cards and I already received the bullets that were bought with the blem primers. I am expecting them to adjust the refund to account for that.

Maybe they will be in a generous mood and give me a full refund, stranger things have happened.

Maybe you should offer to share the order. I presume you aren't that far away from each other. (Too far for me to drive, and am afraid Oregon might run out of gas for the drive back :s0149: )

UPS has my substitute primers. It's been well over a month since my original order for the blem primers was placed. I will be happy if the Winchester SR primers show up to my door and not someone else's door. My cost for the original order of 10,000 blem primers was about $222 total. Getting the Winchester primers for 2.2 cents a primer will make the wait worthwhile.

Yeah they have been running super slow. I would have to look back but I think my last two primer orders took around 2 months. There was some talk a while ago that they can only ship so much hazmat stuff per day because UPS only sends one truck, and they have a limit on how much hazmat per truck.

I find about the time I've forgotten I ordered the primers they show up on my door.

I placed a separate order for some of the Winchester SR primers on January 4th and those arrived yesterday. In the case of the blem primers I think they oversold them and are waiting for new inventory.

About all those blem primers?

I could have seen there initial sale of those, way back when. New manufacturer, kicked off so many for bad QC etc.

Now? To keep getting them in? Seems kinda off.

IMO

I don't think they are really blems. I suspect it's a way for the manufacturer (likely White River Energetics) to let a retailer sell their primers for less.

If a company was continuously creating that many blem primers I would be suspect of their entire line.

Regardless I am using them in range toys so as long as they are not causing squibs I will be fine with them.

Good news, bad news on my refund. They did send me notice that they process the refund. The bad news is they are crediting it back to my checking acct. The entire order was about $510 and change. I paid for $500 of it with discount gift cards and put the other $10+ on my bank card. I asked for the refund in the form of e-gift card so I would get it right away. It looks like that isn't going to happen and now I have to wait. They said it could take upto ten business days.

The good news is they refunded the entire amount of the primer cost, even though they issued some gift cards ($80 total) back to me for the order already.

If/when the refund hits my account, I can use the money to re-buy some new discount gift cards. It will be like double dipping.

Update, it looks like no double dipping for me. I checked the original e-gift card I used to purchase the blem primers and the purchase price was put back on that e-gift card. I'm going to sleep on it for a few days but I will likely place an order for that 5000ct case of Cascade 22LR they are selling.

Patience pays.

Paid $375 for $550 in e-gift cards.

I used the $500 card and $10.75 from checking acct to order 500ct of 270 bullets, a 5000ct case of blem lr primers and 5000ct case of blem lrm primers. Complained about not getting another $50 e-gift card or the $30 discount for spending over $500 and buying two cases of primers.

They sent me another $50 gift card and a $30 gift card.

I received the 500ct bullets but no primers. Eventually canceled primer order and they issued $454.75 back to my e-gift card.

My out of pocket was $385.75 for $630 in e-gift cards. It took a lot of emails to get to today but ultimately it was worth it to me.

I am currently up on all my orders from American Reloading! My most recently received order was placed on December 2nd. After waiting 6-7 weeks I finally emailed me. Even though that brass hasn't been posted for quite some time it seems as though they had it ready to go. It shipped within a couple of days of me emailing them! I have officially received everything but I do have to say that it has been quite the ride!

Today I received the 10k substitute Winchester SR primers to replace the blem primers they oversold. I have still have a few orders I am waiting on, including the 223 ammo which still hasn't shipped or even had a label created. I have a feeling that order could be a problem.

My last substitute order is still delayed. This morning AR said they're "projecting" that it will ship out next week. They offered a $25 gift card if I was willing to wait. I told them I would accept the gift card and wait. So far no gift card :s0092:
