Xtreme 165gr 9mm-Anyone with Experience?

I've always wondered about these heavy for caliber bullets and want to try them out. Has anyone loaded these for subsonic speeds? Wondering if they would stabilize those speeds. I just found a 147gr load that works in all my threaded 9mm guns but may try these.

Just be aware the powder capacity of the case is greatly reduced when the bullet is seated to the proper depth. I also bought a bunch or traded (can't remember) but haven't done much with them. I think they'd be great for subs, maybe even out of a PCC.

That is my intention, load subs for a PCC. I saw there was another thread here with a little info. The search function here and I do not agree. I google something and it'll bring up an old thread from here, LOL. When I use the function on this forum it never finds anything.

Have been browsing the Internet, but haven't found more than a couple references for powder in this particular weight. Any of you use these pills in 9mm? If so, what powders and charge weights are you using?:eek: Thanks in advance!

Well if brass prep is part of reloading...I'm working on tumbling 10k rds of 5.56/.223 in my dry tumbler. I'll be posting for sale once 1st tumble is down. Then go from there processing it step by step until sold. I may lose my mind LOLo_O

Painstakingly cranked out another 100 rounds of 9mm on my Lee single-stage using stuff I didn't want. 147gr RMR TCFP bullets, 3.5 gr of Titegroup, and Federal Small Pistol primers using 3-4 times fired mixed brass. Bringing them with me on a road trip next month for my dad and I to burn...

Thanks! I computers were never my thing growing up or now. I was always too busy riding dirt bikes or women!

Computers weren't around when I was doing those things, they showed up about the time I started slowing down and I needed to find something new to do

I'm a very slow learner!!

I have loaded the heavies. Max MV is pretty slow, but they do run well through my suppressor. Accurate too.
I loaded 165 Xtreme. I shoot steel and they just make a mild "thud". Given the extra expense and low speed, I no longer see any need to use them.
