Alright, my impatience has a price. I didn't wait long enough for it to cure properly and I nicked the finish during reassembly. Overall though, I think it looks good enough for a first-timer's finish on a hundred dollar revolver. Honestly, now that it's coated, I liked the polished steel look better, but this was a learning experience and that was really the point. I'm satisfied enough with the end result to leave it as-is with the exception of maybe doing a little touch-up application to a couple tiny spots. The barrel could be a bit darker for my liking too, but I don't plan on doing anything else to it.
