This is what will lead to the eventual reduction in firearms - replacement.

It might be sooner than expected:

Deeper in the comments is this:

" 1" aluminum (1.1g mass) at 250 m/s according to the video. I'm assuming that aluminum looks similar to the copper. That's 1.1g at ~559mph. From what I can tell on the internet, a 9mm shoots ~7.5g at ~800mph. Doesn't sound like this thing is super lethal. Would probably hurt (and kill under the right circumstances) but it's not quite the power of a pistol. "

So they are loosing a lot of energy, that is, it is not very efficient.

Yet.

Clevo P370SM--17" screen, 4 slots for a total of 32GB RAM, 2 graphics cards (currently GTX 765ms), 2 hard drives (2TB Samsung Spinpoint M9T), 2 mSATA SSD's (not presently installed) on a sesame-seed bun. If they'd found room to stuff in a second CPU, CD and battery I bet they woulda, but as it is the thing is a beast bordering on "too big for airline carry-on" once cased for travel, not to mention that the power brick really *is* a brick. :D
