I posted for sale a NIB BETA CMAG for AR. I thought I priced it good at 359 but so far no takers. Is my price off base or is there concerns about these mags? I have 4 and the one I run has been flawless. Maybe it's just a lot of money for one mag? Curious to hear any comments as I'm pretty much out of the gun game and just selling off extra stuff.

I could buy 20, 40 round pmags for that much, it's a niche expensive product, those don't tend to sell quickly here.

Yep, it is a niche and collectible item, and pretty much only collectors are going to want it. For a Beta that is a decent price. Not priced to move mind you (if you want it gone 250 will probably see it out the door in short order) but I am sure the right collector will be happy to pay ~360 for one that is available right now. But at that price you are going to have to wait for the right collector to stumble upon the listing, and that may take a while.

As for the rest of us, there are still in production knock-offs available today for around 150. These have varying quality, but are much more reasonable for a range toy. And there are high quality 50 rounders for anyone who wants capacity for duty use. Those are probably a better compromise than a 100 rounder anyway, just from a weight perspective. Those can be had for 80 to 150ish depending on brand. What this means is no one who just wants a high cap magazine is going to pay collectors prices to get it.

You will have to decide what is right for you; seeing it gone as soon as possible, with cash in hand, or waiting for someone who wants to pay closer to acceptable collectors prices for the genuine article. That is often the conundrum with any niche collectible item.

Agreed. Maybe $299 will get it gone. I bought a few bc of anticipation of hi cap mag bans. Now I have given up on my beloved Oregon…need to move to a red state.
