I always wear disposable gloves when reloading.

-Also carry a mixed ziplock bag of random range pickups from around the country…

/jk 🙄

Actually I do wear disposables much of the time reloading. Simply out of habit I gues & to help prevent slices/cuts, wear them (or steriles) much of the time at work anyways…

Charging magazines I wear range gloves, same reason - slices/cuts.
So what you're trying to convey here mister is that you have soft hands… :p
I too wear them when doing icky work like resizing & cleaning rifle cases.

Regarding gloves and powder. Some gloves, under certain circumstances can cause static electricity.
To me using gloves when handling powder would be a "no-go". However, using gloves when handling lead bullets doesn't sound like a bad idea.
I solved that problem by never using lead bullets! :D

Yah, decades of wearing gloves on&off entire shifts, exam & sterile.

Then, about always wearing some type of gloves working around home / working out / hiking / shooting etc. To protect my hands (fingers/fingertips primarily).

Not a single callus, sadly. :(

However, I'm quite skilled with my supple girly man hands!...:D

I have shot the 454 a lot. The fun factor wears off. I shoot a lot of 200, 230, and 250 gr bullets from it and the 45 Colt. I also shoot a lot of 160, and 180 gr bullets. The lighter bullets are great for small game up to coyote size.
As a new reloader develop a system that lets you check your own work at every stage along the way. just like in grade school when they taught you that if you add up a collum of numbers to check your work just subtract to see if you did it right.

The main thig is make it fun. I actually like the handloading almost as much as the shooting! DR
