Question about pistol slides

Am wondering if anyone has any tips for making it easier to pull back the slide on pistols. Unfortunately my hands don't have the strength/agility they used to have. I have a few pistols that I am using Hoppe's gun oil on, but it doesn't seem to be enough to ease my struggle with pulling back the slide. Cleaning my guns has become a bear because of this. TIA

Since the recoil spring and design determine slide pull force I would go with a firearm with an easy to rack slide. For example grand power X-calibur. It's a full size competition 9mm that costs $579 for old version. The slide is ridiculously easy to rack and probably can be done with your pinky. It's a lightened slide and gun uses a rotating barrel system that's partially why it's so easy to rack.

The gun itself is equivalent to a modified cz shadow 2 costing $2500. The trigger is nothing short of phenomenal. Reliability is 100% of course.

As some have pointed out here, look into the S&W EZ models. They are designed to make racking the slide and loading the magazines easier.

Do NOT start playing around with your recoil spring assemblies. They are tuned to the pistol and designed to allow the pistol to function without issue.

I'm in the "get a revolver" crowd. Maybe even a single action, like a Colt SAA or Ruger Blackhawk. They are still very effective guns.
