Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
The answer is yes, as Mr. Ritz indicated. Pistons aren't any more reliable, but, they are certainly easier to clean. I put an Adams Arms kit on my S&W M&P15 and I couldn't be happier. Clean up times dropped significantly and easier and more thorough cleaning was one of the things that was important to me.
Not to mention but still having oil on the BCG at the end of the shooting session with a piston, many times with a DI, I would have to stop & lube the BCG after FTE's.
