I have all the receipts for my mag purchases. But will that even matter after April 15th? Also, with no permit to purchase system, will dealers even be able to sell guns without that?

Can you provide a citation for that statement? I am unable to find one. On the other hand, there are many references on line as to how they are used.Affirmative defense is illegal under us law.
Or maybe an old Polaroid if you've got one…use film camera too, since digital cameras leave trace of date and location.![]()
OK but @Cavedweller 's post is a bit more persuasive than yours IMHO.Affirmative defense is illegal under us law. This law will be overturned easily
Yeah, thats why I include the receipt that shows the date the newspaper was actually purchased which is going to be a whole lot harder to fabricate.Newspapers prove nothing at all. I can take a picture with yesterday's newspaper in 15 years to spoof a previous date.
Dates on Magazines don't prove you possessed them prior to the Ban. Love Ya' Man but Wise Up.The only mags I own with dates on em are pmags.
Ba dum tsssssDates on Magazines don't prove you possessed them prior to the Ban. Love Ya' Man but Wise Up.
Mine are photoed in situ next to THE ORIGINAL Kaiser Roll, so I'm covered against this nonsense.I took a pic of my magazines with grandfather klauss so I'm good. pretty sure
This is patently wrong. If you possess a machine gun you got legally in 1967 it may be legal if certain conditions exist. Outside of that it's not legal just because you possess it.Possession is 9/10 law. I have it, I am a law abiding person, I must have acquired it legally.
…
Incorrect. There are many affirmative defense examples in long standing us law. For example if you shoot someone it's an affirmative defense if you can prove self defense. The bubblegumers are applying it to mag possession which is bubbleguming evil.Affirmative defense is illegal under us law. This law will be overturned easily
Yes, you need to know the idiosyncrasies of Total Civilian Disarmament. We're still talking about this dumb sh!t?
The entire left coast sucks. I can't wait to move to a free state. This is patently wrong. If you possess a machine gun you got legally in the 1950s it may be legal if certain conditions exist. Outside of that it's not legal just because you possess it.
Another example is under WA state law it's not legal to possess a SBS. If you can show you acquired it prior to 1994 and have a stamp then it's legal to posses, but outside of that it's not, even if you acquired it legally at a the time.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Prove it G man…I'm not sure that's true as "affirmative defense" is written into the law. Affirmative defense means you violated the law but you had a legit reason for doing so, such as "I purchased them before the ban." But you have to prove that.
"An affirmative defense is a defense in which the defendant introduces evidence, which, if found to be credible, will negate criminal liability or civil liability, even if it is proven that the defendant committed the alleged acts. The party raising the affirmative defense has the burden of proof on establishing that it applies."
HB 3075 reads:affirmative defense | Legal Information Institute

(5) [As of December 8, 2022, it shall be] It is an affirmative defense, as provided in ORS[166.055] 161.055, to the unlawful possession, use and transfer of a large-capacity magazine in this state by any person[, provided] that a)(A) The large-capacity magazine was owned by the person before December 8, 2022, and maintained in the person's control or possession; or[(b)] (B) The possession of a large-capacity magazine was obtained by a person who, on or after December 8, 2022, acquired possession of the large-capacity magazine by operation of law upon the death of a former owner who was in legal possession of the large-capacity magazine; etc. etc.

Matters not to me, If I am forced to prove anything, they will get copies. NSOMNProbably not a bad idea. Proof can also get one in trouble. It's the state and government they can and will lose your proof.
Agree! As long as one owns a firearm or believes in the right to own, they will find fault in something! ($%@T scumbags!2. The "I'm gonna be soooo compliant there's no way they'll find fault with me" attitude is pretty silly.
