I found Event Horizon to have merit as a scary movie.
Let the Right One In, Swedish version, is pretty good.

I saw Phantasm 1 & 2 at the Hollywood theater in Portland in 70mm with the director giving an introduction before the double feature. Someone in the front row dressed as The Tall Man and the director laughingly made him stand up and take a bow to a cheering audience. It was a lot of fun.

Oh I missed that.. Are they coming back again?
The 1 and 2 are the good ones. But they're all pretty good.
I can't believe when I first saw that movie back in the late 70's. I cried at the twist in the end when they showed Jody Pearson died in a car accident.
