Well, it is that time of year when the weather turns and Halloween is in the air. So, figured why not a Halloween fun thread?

Reading any good horror novels or other books? Any film or films series in the genre you're watching? Or if video games are more your thing, any you're enjoying? How about fun projects with the kiddos or grandkiddos? Any cultural practices that coincide with the season that you find meaningful?

Thanks for sharing! 🎃

Halloween means rut is coming......

I take the kids to the local corn maze and we will pick "pumpkins" our of my hubbard squash field. We live to far up in the hills to justify decorating, as we never have had a tricker treater

I REALLY miss the days of the kids. LONG ago went away here due to the scum. Wife and I used to enjoy putting up decorations in the yard and greeting the hordes of kids with candy. Damn shame this got ruined for them. When I was a kid we looked forward to the night of free candy for weeks :D

Not really read anything that pertains to Halloween, but used to have some nice traditions. One of which is to watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". That always signals the beginning of the Holidays season. Tons of candy and apple cider give way to football games and turkey dinners. This followed closely by cold weather or snow, beautiful decorations of blue, green and red and the excitement of Christmas morning. Church, big dinner and family gathered in a house too small filled with warmth and love (even if just for a bit).

That's Halloween to me.

Yah, we just turn off all lights now and close the shades. Rarely do we get any dressed up little children any more, but plenty of aggressive high schoolers not even in a costume. No thanks, another ruined tradition.
