With Russians murdering civilians (tying their hands behind their backs and slaughtering them), yes - everyone should definitely be prepared to defend themselves. They are gonna need everyone to defend against Russian invaders.
A few years ago we tried to pass a bill to teach gun safety in public schools and the Democrat majority overwhelmingly voted it down. One of the reasons I heard was that it promoted gun culture.I would love to be a part of or teach a ....
Non political firearm safety course in my school.
Subjects would be...
Firearm safety...
Basic Firearms ID...
Basic Ballistics...

Who knows how many lives that would save.Sad that a simple safety class is not allowed.

You'd think they would have picked up a clue back right about 1 September – 6 October 1939.The irony of these people suddenly embracing guns in the face of a looming threat does not escape me. Better late than never I guess.
Because Russia is doing such an efficient job mowing through Ukraine, a country with a GDP 1/10th that of Mexico. They are gonna need everyone to defend against Russian invaders.
Kill a commie for mommy!Si vis pacem, para bellum.

Germany rose again after WWI because it had been humiliated, driven to bankruptcy and backed into a corner, its lands stripped away and blamed for everything that happened in WWI. After WWII the victors of the war took a different approach towards Germany and it worked out.Still baffles me we live in an age where Russia is still a threat. Imagine if Germany tried to "rise" again.
So, what should the US and allies done after the cold war ended?Germany rose again after WWI because it had been humiliated, driven to bankruptcy and backed into a corner, its lands stripped away and blamed for everything that happened in WWI. After WWII the victors of the war took a different approach towards Germany and it worked out.
When the Cold War ended, we decidedly did not learn from our post WWI experience.
Set up a buffer. Not necessarily a DMZ but not pushed NATO up Russia's bubblegum as fast as possible no matter how much bordering neighghbor states wanted it. More time and effort in engagement less in sanctioning. When you have nothing to lose it's quite freeing. So, what should the US and allies done after the cold war ended?
