PMAG question

I was told last night that if you store PMAGs without the cap on it that it will warp the mag over time and render it useless. Question: is this true and if so, does anybody have 2 caps they want to part with? I hope it isn't but I have to ask because I have 2 now with no cap. thanks ahead of time.

PMAG has confirmed that this is not true. The GEN 2 and 3 PMAGS come with the cap as a dust/dirt cover. But it is not needed.
