Pistol smiths in the Portland area ?

I got the 1911 bug again.
Who are the top local guys , i posted elsewhere about a hankering for a commander sized 38 super. Got a msg to Dan Wesson about building me one , but the only one on the market i can find is a Les Baer $2550.00 I think i could get a Colt 9mm new and have it converted for well under that.
So tell me who to call ?

You won't regret the Dan Wesson if you decide to go that route. Behind my Ed Brown, my Dan Wesson's have all been top notch, at least as good as the Baer I owned. Now, a modern colt? I don't think they're quite what they used to be.

As far as local, I haven't found anyone great, mostly 1911's smiths are outside the area.
