Grand kids and visitors.Who are you trying to keep out? Kids or thieves?
Are they likely to walk away with the safe, or be left alone long enough to brute force a dial?Grand kids and visitors.
Neither. Are they likely to walk away with the safe, or be left alone long enough to brute force a dial?
Thos look nice, what model did you get?I like VAULTEK, have had one in our vehicles for several years. The 10, 20 and VT series are slim yet robust. Create your own pin and backup key lock. Has served me well.
I'll second this opinion. I have one mounted in my house, WiFi, fingerprint, code entry, or key for access. The thing is a beast. It even alerts me whenever it is opened or tampered with immediately. Even when not home. Don't know the exact model number but recall it was a bit over $400.I like VAULTEK, have had one in our vehicles for several years. The 10, 20 and VT series are slim yet robust. Any of the Vaultek safes. So, what is the best easy access pistol safe anyone has found?
I've got model 10's in both our cars…. Has worked out well. They also make console safes that can be bolted right into the console for some vehicles.Thos look nice, what model did you get?
They had a sale, two for 79 bucks. For the money, I went with Wincent's Elite RSzero, found here: https://www.wincentpro.com/products/wincent-smart-portable-gun-safe.
And if you have the time to watch John Correia's review on this box:View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi_z5Cn3kOs
. No trouble with mine since I had to get it for WA's safe storage rule.
That's the nice part about the Hornady Safe I listed, they have all of that and have a turnkey as well. They're heavy, thick, tetherable, mountable and if you only want to use the key you can and leave it turned off, electronics use both AC power and battery power. My advice is to stay away from electronics, batteries, biometric, etc., and stick with a mechanical simplex lock. Batteries, electronics, etc., fail...and often at the worst possible time.
