Petersons website has a page you can look up the exact lot code of your box of brass and find the following:
date of mfg, weight, internal volume, basic dimensions (neck wall thickness) and even the exact Amp annealing machine code so you can reanneal it exactly the same.

As sometimes happens, my first exposure to the Peterson Cartridge product was right here in this post. Previously never heard of them.

I'm probably not a good enough shooter to warrant the kind of precision that Peterson strives for. I typically sort brass by headstamp brand and within that, era of manufacture to the degree I can determine it. A practice I will probably continue rather than springing for expensive Peterson brass.

While its cool they do this I have to wonder what the practical application is?

I can say that the Peterson brass I have is incredibly consistent in weight, dimensions compared to other high end brass but after that curiosity was checked off they shoot the same for me, though Im not a competition shooter.
